The ‘Oldest’ McDonald’s Outlet In The World?

On Long Island southeast of New York state, there is an intriguing McDonald’s restaurant—it is housed in a 200-year-old, Georgian-style mansion.

Initially marked for demolition after the fast food chain bought it in 1985, McDonald’s decided to restore The Denton House instead after locals protested against tearing it down.

Built around 1795, the historic building is a breath of fresh air among McDonald’s thousands of cookie-cutter outlets all around the world.

While this is technically not the oldest McDonald’s restaurant in the world, it is probably one of the most interestingly located—scroll down for more images of this unusual fast food outlet.
