Artist and photographer Diane Meyer obscured sections of photographs not with the easier option of digital pixelation, but by sewing cross-stitch embroidery over them.
By using thread that matches the colors in the picture, she was able to physically create a mosaic effect, which is usually generated with digital tools and commonly used to obscure pictures in the media.
