It is safe to say that the ‘Twilight Saga’ has killed the vampire and werewolf theme in movies—and now, it’s time to add pet names to the list.
According to a survey carried out at the Banfield Pet Hospital in Oregon, the name ‘Bella’ (after lead female ‘Bella Swan’ from the film) was the most popular name for dogs and the second most popular name for cats.
Other popular names for dogs include: ‘Max’, ‘Buddy’ and ‘Daisy’; while for cats: ‘Kitty’, ‘Tiger’ and ‘Smokey’.
According to baby-name expert Laura Wattenberg, pet owners have been giving their pets more human-like names over the past generation—reflecting a change in society where owners see their pets more as family members than animals.
