Adorable, Amusing Vintage Photographs of Cats Doing Everyday Tasks

Before the phenomenon of ‘LOLcats’ on the internet, American photographer Harry Whittier Frees created children’s books and postcards by dressing up animals and posing them with props.



Highly collectible, these postcards and posters were incredibly popular at the turn of the century, with cats being anthropomorphized, doing everyday tasks like hanging the laundry and baking.
