Writer and artist Harland Miller has created a series of parody Penguin book covers.
Making fun of the pretensions in book titles, Miller replaces them with more honest sentiments, like, “International Lonely Guy”, and “Nowhere Nothing F**k Up”.
These book covers, with their tongue-in-cheek spoof titles, cleverly disguise writers’ neuroses as well as the more vulgar ideas behind their works.
While these ironic book covers may be amusing, they also represent the depression and loneliness in humanity, suggesting that literature reaches out and touches others who feel the same.
