‘Playing Arts’ is a new project put together by online magazine Digital Abstracts, where they invite 54 talented artists to design a deck of poker cards.
Currently seeking funds on Kickstarter, the project aims to create a deck of “unique playing poker cards” with a heavy emphasis on graphic design.
“From the two of clubs to the ace of diamonds, each of [the] 54 participants has illustrated a single card in their own individual style and technique,” wrote the magazine on Kickstarter.
The project features renowned designers, painters and illustrators such as David Mack, Conrad Roset, James White and Sara Black, to name a few.
The funding period for this project ends on 9 November 2013, and they hope to send the decks out before Christmas.
