English doodler James Chapman has created a series of illustrations which show what animals sound like in various languages.
While many people agree on the sound cats make, other animals, like dogs, pigs and even birds “sound” different in other languages—apparently our avian friends go “pip pip” in Spanish and “cui cui” in French.
Adorable and amusing, these illustrations show how different cultures perceive the sounds that animals make.
