50 Shades of Gray
How do you get millennials keen in reading classic books? CollegeHumor thinks you should retitle them.
The books covers of classic novels—such as The Great Gatsby, Charlotte’s Web and To Kill A Mockingbird—get a ‘modern update’ by the comedy website, to bear silly titles that would not be found on a sophisticate’s bookshelf, but would otherwise fit in well with clickable internet links and aremore likely be picked up by the internet generation.
Illustrated by Brendan Ternus, Charlotte’s Web becomes ‘This Adorable Pig Is Beyond Amazeballs’, The Great Gatsby becomes ‘He’s Rich. He’s Hot. So What’s His F*cking Problem?’, Lolita becomes ‘He’s Dating WHO?!?’ and Eat Pray Love becomes ‘Nom Nom Nom’—just to name a few.
Do you think these re-titles would appeal to those only interested in what goes on on the internet?
