Hailing from South Wales, Denise Salway has created knitted dolls of the characters from The Hobbit films.
Salway’s knitting abilities are phenomenal—she does not need to refer to patterns for reference and comes up with the designs herself.
According to her, figures take about a day-and-a-half, although the menacing dragon, Smaug, proved to be a challenge and took a month to do.
The 50-year-old presented her creations on Twitter, earning praise from an actor that starred in the film, Graham McTavish.
What makes this feat amazing is that Salway had only recently picked up knitting again—she stopped when she was a teenager.
View the rest of her knitted characters below, which includes the director of The Hobbit, Peter Jackson.
