Often associated with Chinese takeout, fortune cookies can be fun if you get a kick out of reading motivational sayings printed on tiny slips of paper.
Firebox now sells “Misfortune Cookies”—a twist on the original snack—that are made so that we can “crack open [our] damned miserable reality”.
Each cookie contains an insult that makes fun of the sayings found in fortune cookies—“Your lucky animal is a horsehair worm” is one such example.
Although they may come across as a little mean, these cookies are meant to be taken in a light-hearted manner and aim to make people laugh.
Each box costs UK£11.99 and can be purchased here.
