As a typeface designer, it is only natural that Jeremy Dooley would want his son Will to learn about and understand how typography works.
To start Will on the typography path early, he has created The Clothes Letter Wears, a picture book that teaches toddlers about the different typefaces through illustrations that shows each font as text playing dress-up.
This book also features the “Cabrito”, a custom typeface based on the Bookman Old Style that Dooley has made for the project—it has been designed to be especially legible for young eyes.
Currently sourcing for funds on Kickstarter, you can receive your copy of The Clothes Letters Wear for US$11.
While we are not sure if it would be particularly readable for toddlers, we think that it would still be a good beginner’s guide to typography for grown-ups who are interested in the subject.
