Apple fans are known to be a creative and talented bunch, and Swiss designer Kurt Merki Jr. is no exception. Inspired by Apple’s 30th anniversary, he has created a series of concept art for a supercomputer called the ‘iPro’.
He drew from classic Apple products like the Macintosh to come up with an “all in one” high-powered workstation for professionals that combines the robust hardware of a Mac Pro and the sleek design of an iMac.
The supercomputer features a huge 35-inch screen with retina Cinema display and a tube-shaped Unibody structure fitted with a high-definition glass OLED display. The back of the Unibody contains power sockets for storage, memory and processor needs. Software-wise, a split screen function allows for more conducive workflow and ease in editing audio and video applications.
Front-facing speakers create an immersive audio experience, while a one-touch button tilts the display 20 degrees back from the upright position and doubles as a stand to prevent the ‘iPro’ from toppling over. The supercomputer even comes in gold, black and silver.
Judging from the detailed design and precise specifications, it’s obvious Merki Jr. has devoted much thought and effort into designing his dream Apple computer.

What do you think of his designs? Do you think Apple will come up with a supercomputer like this in the future?
