There is a movement to include more diverse characters in comics and movies, and the Tumblr user Charmingly Antiquated has done just that.
In this beautiful comic, she illustrates the relationship between a sailor and a mermaid. There is no dialog, and the illustrator makes good use of contrasting colors and body language to tell the story.
