Virginia-based artist Eric Standley, previously featured here, has added on more paper sculptures into his collection.
The designs were made by stacking over 100 sheets of paper, that were laser-cut, layer-by-layer in precise patterns—each project involves months of planning, drawing and assembly.
His inspiration comes mainly from the geometry of Gothic and Islamic architecture, he wanted to borrow the reverence of these cathedral and religious designs into a scale that is more tangible, and is always pushing himself to make his artworks more complex.
