Los Angeles-based artist Alexander Houlton showed us that besides humans, animals can look good in suits too.
To create the quirky prints in his project ‘Animals in an Animal World’, Houlton first used Photoshop to combine animal heads onto old photos of people clad in suits.
After printing each image on paper, he fixed them onto blocks of wood and used a torch to burn parts of the prints to create the vintage feel apparent in his prints.
Houlton told LA Post Examiner that he likes to challenge himself through his work, “Getting animals to fill human figures and have those real-feeling proportions is very difficult, but when I get it right, it’s fascinating how natural it looks.”
