Photographer Nancy Borowick documented the ups and downs of her parents’ battle with cancer in her ongoing project, ‘Cancer Family’.
Borowick offered viewers an intimate glimpse into the daily lives of her parents, both diagnosed with cancer, as they received their treatments, often side by side.
Her photos often reflected the warm and inspiring bond shared between her parents, Howie and Laurel Borowick.
As the couple took turns to support each other during treatments and their daily routines, they often embraced each other and showed small gestures to keep their spirits strong.
Borowick said that through her project, she managed to “archive their story and capture their essence, remembering the good moments and the bad, as well as the silly moments and the sad.”
