Spine-Tingling Microscopic Views Of Dead Parasites

Viewing photographer Marcus DeSieno’s ongoing work, ‘Parasites’, may make our skin crawl and itch. Still, his images are oddly fascinating.

After an unfortunate encounter with deer ticks during his childhood, DeSieno decided to fight his fears by examining various parasites with an old photographic technology commonly used in the 19th century.

DeSieno worked with specimens provided by parasitologists from the University of South Florida to produce curious, microscopic views of these pesky parasites.

See if you can view his work below without squirming.
