Creative Photo Project Shows People Taking A ‘Bath’ In A Tub Of Rubber Ducks

Photographer Nicola Bernardi has created a series of amusing portraits featuring random people immersed in hundreds of yellow rubber ducks in his aptly named project, ‘What the DUCK is going on!?’.

Bernardi told The Phoblographer that his quirky photo project was inspired by a giant inflatable duck that appeared in the Hong Kong harbor last year.

“…I fell in love with the idea and started realizing that I had never seen photos with a LOT of rubber ducks in them. I mean, why the hell is that? Rubber ducks are, in my opinion, incredibly funny and silly, and I’m sure they would work in a photo,” said the Melbourne-based photographer.

For his project, Bernardi photographed his contacts, such as his “serious” roommate, a burlesque performer, and his drinking buddy, in their respective bathrooms, together with the 251 rubber ducks that he purchased online.
