Fantastically Imaginative Miniature Scenes Created By A 15-Year-Old

15-year-old Massachusetts-based artist Zev Hoover has an incredibly vivid imagination, judging from his digitally manipulated photographs of fantastical miniature scenes.

The precocious talent picked up photography when he was eight, studying Photoshop tutorials online. He further honed his skills by photographing his mother’s sculptures for art installation proposals, and creating visualizations of how they would look like at various locations, according to his profile from Flickr Blog’s 20under20 series.

Full of child-like wonder, his whimsical images of tiny figures going on adventures and exploring landscapes are a delight to look at.

Hoover first photographs surroundings and shrinks them to minuscule sizes, before merging elements of different pictures together to create the finished digital composite.

“I like putting my eye near the ground because you see a totally different world when you’re thinking from the point of view of something smaller than you.”
