Infographic: An Interesting List Of Mix-Breed Designer Dogs And Their Parentage

A designer dog is created when it is born from two purebred dogs, these canines are bred not only for its enhanced appearances, but some with a purpose to optimize the best qualities of its parents.

The team at Time had put together an infographic listing down the current possible cross-breeding between dogs—for instance, a poodle and a collie is called a Cadoodle, and more than 10% of designer dogs are found to have a poodle parent because they come in four sizes and have a low-shed coat.

Even though these designer dogs were created to elevate existing bred problems, critics say that more of such unwanted dogs are left abandoned in shelters.
