Eco-Friendly Packaging For Colored Pencils Lets You Break Them Apart To Use

Montreal-based university student Laurence Grégoire has created an ingenious zero-waste packaging for colored pencils.

Instead of traditional cardboard packaging, the wooden pencils are bound together and require users to break them apart to use. Each pencil thoughtfully has its corresponding color written on it for easy identification.

Aside from being eco-friendly, the act of snapping the pencils apart adds a nice tactile feel to the experience.

What do you think—isn’t this a clever idea?
