Iconic Japanese design studio Nendo has created a Winnie The Pooh-themed furniture collection for the offices of Walt Disney Japan.
The pieces may have been made for Disney, but are so elegantly crafted that they are not only kid-friendly, but can also easily fit in the households or offices of grown-ups.
Nendo had distilled the essence of the characters in Winnie The Pooh, taking into consideration the form, physiques and postures. They then created a pared-down set of wooden shapes that invoke the same memory of the character.
For example, the large ovular coffee table is inspired by Winnie The Pooh’s rotund body, while the tall stool is inspired by the sprightliness of Tigger.
