Fear Of Missing Out, or FOMO, is a very real thing. In fact, the word ‘FOMO’ was added to Oxford Dictionaries online just last year.

This trend report by JWTIntelligence is a beautiful data visualization that highlights some findings from a U.S. survey conducted in 2012.

The truth is, as more real-time, location-based and social media tools are invented, we are always exposed to what others are doing that it makes us uncertain about our own choices.

A new campaign for Nestlé FITNESS that aims to raise breast cancer awareness addresses a very common question: who’s checking out your breasts?

In a part experiment for their campaign, Nestlé fitted a hidden camera in one actress’ bra, and as she walked down the street going about her daily life, one can count the number of eyes that have checked out her breasts.

This campaign then reminds women to check out their own breasts regularly.

Design Firm Merges A Vespa With A Segway To Create 'Vespa Segways'

Barcelona-based studio Bel & Bel wanted to merge two of their favorite things, Vespa scooters and Segways. Thus, they created the Vespa Segway.

Bel & Bel was previously featured on our site for their ingenious Vespa Chairs, and this clever design marriage of the two is no simple feat.

Making the popular self-balancing personal vehicle look like a Vespa, it definitely captures the hearts of Vespa lovers who want to take it just a little slower.

Back In 1980, Long-Serving Employees Of LEGO Received 14k Solid Gold LEGO Bricks

Back in 1980, LEGO employees who had worked in the LEGO factory in Hohenwestedt, Germany for 25 years were awarded with an official LEGO brick created out of 14k solid gold.

This was also given to a select few business partners within the span of 1979-1981.

It may be a thing of the past, but this gold LEGO brick still remains the most expensive LEGO one can buy.

The last transacted LEGO brick was sold for USD$14,449.99 on Brick Envy, an unofficial LEGO store.

The brick weighs 25.65 grams, and is made of 14K gold (0.8246 troy oz). It is the same size and shape as the original 2x4 LEGO brick.

1997 was the era where the Internet’s popularity was just beginning to take off. That’s when this video was created, perhaps to help first time Internet users ease in to the system.

Part informational and fully hilarious, this video features a young woman teaching her audience how to have cyber sex.

Hershey's Miniatures Sheds Its Old Packaging Design For A Modern Update

Hershey’s iconic Miniatures chocolates has recently had its packaging redesigned. Giving a modern update to the wrapper of each chocolate and its bag, the redesign also boasts a sustainability element to it.

Each wrapper had its weight reduced by 0.050 grams. That small move, in a year, saves more than 271,800 pounds of wrappers.

According to Laura Renaud from The Hershey’s Company, “At Hershey, we have had many packaging sustainability projects—more than 175 across three countries that have saved 14 million pounds of packaging material in just five years. These packaging projects are part of how Hershey conducts business with a purpose.”

McDonald's Hong Kong Releases The 'Batman Burger'

In the midst of Hong Kong’s #OccupyCentral protests, McDonald’s Hong Kong has very recently unveiled a ‘Batman’ burger, along with ‘Squeezy Cheesy Fries’.

This burger is the first of the series of Justice League meals that McDonald’s will release in the next few months.

The Batman burger features a burger with two patties, a McMuffin-style fried egg, some onions, and sauce.

Upcoming burgers include a Superman burger, a Wonder Woman burger, and an Aquaman burger.

Design Firm Celebrates Coffee With A Dose Of New York City's Culture

For International Coffee Day (observed on September 29), design and branding firm The Partners created something cool to give New Yorkers a dose of culture with their daily coffee.

Their initiative, ‘Culture Shots’, is a celebration of New York and its coffee culture.

New York is a fast-paced city where one easily loses track of the city’s fascinating bits of information. That led The Partners to create a collection of coffee sleeves, napkins, and espresso cups that each had a witty insight to one of NYC’s cultural highlights.

Taking twenty-eight (the number of seconds it takes to pull an espresso) of New York’s cultural highlights and hotspots, the firm transformed these into clever English lines that brought the city’s culture to life.

Each shot also has a hyperlink that leads one to more information. For example, one shot read, “Shiny Porn, Rubber Dogs, and Michael Jackson”, referring to the Koons exhibit at The Whitney.

Culture Shots cups, sleeves, and napkins will be available this week at various Soho locations.

Cute Illustrations Of Animals That Have Been Contorted Into Numbers

Raul Aguiar, an illustrator living in São Paulo, has created some adorable illustrations for an issue of ‘Revistinha da Gol’, a children magazine.

Called ‘Wild numbers!’, the series features cute animals such as a fox, giraffe and zebra in the shape of the numbers one to six.
