Brilliant Product Lets You Plug A Limitless Number Of USB Cables Into One Port

One of the key criticisms of the new Apple MacBook is how its one and only port can be an inconvenience for people who want to connect their laptops to multiple devices at the same time.

However, if you have the “InfiniteUSB”, a brilliant new product developed from a student project by Chinese designer Gonglue Jiang, that single port would be all you need to plug multiple devices into your laptop—and you would not need a bulky USB hub to do so.

Now working as a UX designer at Google, Jiang first came up with the idea for the InfiniteUSB while he was a student at Beihang University in 2009, which subsequently won him an iF Concept Award.

Supporting MicroUSB, Lightning and Female USB connectors, this simple but very clever product lets you “daisy chain” USB cables so that they all “fit” into the same port—as each USB cable creates a new port for the next cable, there is no limit to the number of devices you can connect.

With prices starting at US$10, you can be among the first to start using the InfiniteUSB by pledging for it on Kickstarter—watch the video below to get a clearer idea of how it works.
