Oreo Goes Red, As A Tribute To NASA’s Mars Landing

To commemorate NASA’s Curiousity Rover landing on Mars on Sunday—as part of Oreo’s ‘Daily Twist’ campaign—the cookie brand has given its iconic black-and-white cookies a twist.

As a metaphor to mark the world event, the brand has created an image that shows a cookie with ‘space rover tracks’ (presumable created using Oreo’s cookie edges) on the ‘red surface of Mars’ (red Oreo creme filling)—complete with a tagline that says: “Now, to perfectly land an Oreo cookie in milk.”

Oreo’s Daily Twist project was launched to celebrate the cookie’s 100th anniversary on 25 June—to celebrate the most important news each day for 100 days through the lends of Oreo.

All Daily Twist cookies don’t actually exist. You can check out the full series here.
