American designer James McNabb has carved a collection of wooden sculptures that mimic the skyscrapers of New York City.

Titled ‘The City Series’, McNabb uses a band saw to carefully “sketch” his metropolises, carves them into different pieces of wood and assembling it all to produce an amazing piece of work.

After carving 250 unique geometric woodblocks within 24-hours, McNabb had spotted a similarity between the united assortment of these woodblocks and an urban skyline.

Since then, McNabb has been continually creating new and innovative alignments to assemble his own style of metropolis.

The designer has also known to create no two identical buildings in his collection, calling this choice “a reference to the idea that cities are the land of endless possibility.”
