Blue and White Porcelain Sculptures Highlight Fragility In Destruction

Artist Magnus Gjeon likes to challenge peoples’ pre-conceived notions of beauty.

In this set of sculptures, he transforms an Uzi and a grenade into delicate porcelain sculptures coated in the dark blue pattern of delft ware.

By using a fragile material to make objects that are destructive in nature, Gjeon’s art objects make the viewer think about humanity’s ability to create and destroy.
