In collaboration with the LEGO Foundation, the LEGO Group and KIRKBI A/S, Danish design firm BIG has unveiled plans to build a ‘LEGO House’, according to ArchDaily.

The LEGO ‘experience center’ would be located in the heart of Billund, Denmark—the birthplace of the iconic toy bricks—and will have an exterior look that resembles stacked and combined giant LEGO bricks.

A dream come true for kids, and those who grew up playing with the building blocks, the building will occupy 7,600 square-meters and stand at 30-meters tall.

With multiple levels, it will house exhibitions, a café and a unique LEGO store, and also contain roof-top gardens and areas for public access.

“It’s going to be looking at LEGO from all different aspects,” Founder of BIG, Bjarke Ingles told to ArchDaily. “LEGO as an art form, its cultural impact.”

Construction of the LEGO House is expected to start early 2013, and it will be inaugurated in 2016.
