The internet works in mysterious ways—for some unfathomable reason, a strange exercise routine from the late 1980s that requires you to prance like a horse has gone viral in recent weeks.

Named “Prancercise” by its creator, Florida resident Joanna Rohrback, the aerobics-style work-out is described as a “springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse’s gait and ideally induced by elation”.

It is unknown how videos of Rohrback’s demonstration of her original routine are discovered two decades after it was created and forgotten—in just a few days, the videos have received millions of views.

Becoming an online sensation overnight, Rohrback have even been interviewed by The Daily Beast.
