Augmented-reality smartphone app Blippar has created a way to keep kids entertained while traveling.

Using the ‘blipp’ app to scan a British passport, the passport would come to life with 3D augmented-reality.

On screen of the smartphone, a plane can be seen taking off.

Users can also play holiday-themed games and learn phrases in various foreign languages—such as French, Italian, Spanish and Croatian, to name a few—that would come in handy when they get to their destination.

Especially useful on long-distance flights, the augmented-reality interactive app is sure to captivate kids, and keep them intrigued for hours.
