Brookly-based bio-tech company Suneris has designed ‘VETIGEL’, which looks set to become the band-aid of the future.
The gel contains plant-based polymers which would not only stop excessive bleeding within 15 seconds, but also creates a protective barrier over the wounded area—the product is stored in syringes and can be applied on by a person without medical training.
The gel is currently not for sale yet, but the company hopes that the product would be used by the masses once it is approved for human use.
