“Deep down, we are afraid of the moments when we are truly alone, because it is in these gaps that regrets and worries come flooding in.”

Providing that as an answer to our constant need to stay connected to our social networks, animator and illustrator Doug Hindson explores the phenomenon in a short, using handmade wooden puppets.

Titled “Dis\connect”, the video is a reflective piece on why individuals feel the urge to regularly post updates of their filtered lives and constantly present their carefully crafted selves online, resulting in a disconnect with reality.
