Since the horrific attack on the office of Paris satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo which left its editor and three cartoonists dead, artists around the world have been paying tribute in the form of illustrations.
Coming on the back of this striking illustration which went viral, the images of pencils, guns and blood have been shared on social media by journalists in a global show of solidarity for their fallen colleagues.
Poignant, somber and ultimately inspiring, they send a defiant message to the attackers that they refuse to be cowed by violence.
