To celebrate the Oscars, which happens to be tonight, People.com decided to send 10 Oscar nominees “back in time” by photoshopping and placing them next to their younger selves.



Illustrated by Linzi Silverman, the images show how much celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Jared Leto and Tom Hanks have/have not changed over the years.

Amazing Photographs Of Athletes Looking Like Classic Greek Statues

A collaboration between photographer Tim Tadder and digital artist Cristian Girotto, these images are an homage to Greek statues as well as the intense training that many athletes go through.



Tadder took the photographs while Girotto retouched them with a porcelain-like overlay, making these athletes look like legendart Olympians of yore.

Creative Street Art That Makes Clever Use Of The Urban Environment

Street artist Pejac makes clever use of the urban environment in his works.



In one, it looks like a map of the world is being sucked in by a drain—in another, iron bars are transformed into curtains.



It is apparent that Pejac wants us to take a closer look at the world around us—the nooks and crannies in buildings can inspire us in different ways.

Boeing's First Smartphone Self-Destructs When Tampered With

Multinational aircraft company, Boeing, has recently announced the launch of their foray into consumer electronics. They are entering the smartphone market with a new phone, the Boeing Black.



The defining quality of this phone is its emphasis on security. Ensuring total phone privacy and secure communications, it will self destruct if you tried to take it apart.



That means, if the device is being tampered with, it automatically erases everything on it, including the entire operating system.



The Boeing Black will run on an Android OS and allows for two SIM cards in order to obfuscate cell networks and ensure complete privacy.



The release date or price of the Boeing Black is still not known, but it will be a phone that will be sold exclusively to government agencies or contractors of government agencies.

Funny Illustrations Show The Part-Time Jobs Of Superheroes

Malaysian artist Chow Hon Lam, whom we previously featured, has a new set of illustrations depicting the part-time jobs of superheroes.



His charming and humorous illustrations show superheroes creatively using their powers in various occupations–Cyclops works as a construction worker, Storm tends to a vegetable farm, the Invisible Woman moonlights as a magician’s assistant and perhaps the most fitting of all, the Hulk flexes his immense strength as a demolition man.

Striking Graphic-Style Posters Of Wes Anderson Movies

Graphic artist Ben Biondo has created a series of striking graphic-style posters inspired by the films of Wes Anderson.



Each poster features a main character, a short summary of the plot, as well as facts and figures like its date of release, running time, filming locations and box office opening sales.



While the movies are rendered in Anderson’s distinct highly meticulous and quirky style, Biondo’s posters pare them down to their essentials and take on an entirely different aesthetic.

What Happens In Your Brain When You're On A Date: A Short Animation

A group of students comprising of Josiah Haworth, Joon Shik Song and Joon Soo Song from the Ringling College of Art and Design based in Florida, USA, have created a great CGI animated short film that explains how your brain behaves when you’re on a date.



Titled ‘Brain Divided’, this short film explains what goes on in your head during a date as you constantly switch nervously from super suave, to super clumsy.
