A Lamp That Constantly Blows Bubbles, Uses Fragile Globes As Lampshades

Inspired by the whimsical nature of bubbles, Stockholm-based design studio Front has created a lamp that constantly blows bubbles.

Using the bubbles as ephemeral lampshades, the 'Surface Tension Lamp' is made with an LED light source that can last up to 50,000 hours.

By the time the LED burns out, the lamp would have generated about three million bubbles.

Catching and reflecting the light, the glistening, color-specked bubbles make for a beautiful sight while they last—before they inevitably grow too large and burst, or float away from the lamp.
