In an attempt to keep up in the technologically-advanced world, renown instant film company Polaroid has launched a tablet designed specifically for children, for entertainment and educational purposes.
The Polaroid tablet is a 7-inch wireless device that features a capacitive multi-touch screen with 800 x 480 screen resolution.
It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has an 8GB of internal memory, a rear 2-megapixel camera, a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor with 512MB of RAM, and an SD card slot for external memory.
Polaroid also preloaded the device with three top-rated learning apps and 10 interactive books, a Nook bookstore and reader.
Parents can custom the web browser and parental controls to program safe browsing for their children.
The tablet also has built-in speakers, a headphone jack, microphone, and a digital accelerometer.
The Polaroid tablet is available at US$149.99.
