Inspired by Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” project, the world’s first 24 hour music video, New Yorker Geoffrey Stevens decided to launch “Happy In NYC”, a video project that documents people being happy all over the city.

Not only do these videos show New Yorkers in their happy places, they also bring a bit of cheer to places and people in the Big Apple who may need a mood boost.

Each video in the series features people dancing joyously in the parts of New York City that make them happy—they may look comical to passers-by but they are definitely having fun.

Stevens is inviting people to contribute ideas about unique locations to shoot—find out how you can contact him about the “Happy In NYC” project here.

Watch some of the video clips below, or view the entire series on the project website.
