Filled with dense text that spells out complicated stories, the Bible can be quite difficult to get through—pastor and freelance graphic designer Joseph Novak has created a series of minimalist prints that strip down each book in the Bible to its core theme.
According to Novak, “THE MINIMUM BIBLE” project is “one attempt to portray biblical themes and texts visually using a minimalist style with a found-item overlay”—it removes the confusing realism of religious art and invites the viewer to think about the more important symbolisms of the Bible.
Whether you are a believer or not, these prints provide a refreshing perspective from which to view this ancient text that is still one of the most read books in the world.
You can purchase copies of these prints from the project’s website—do you think these graphic prints adequately represent the various books in the Bible?
