Icelandic fashion designer Sruli Recht has found an odd medium to mount over a gold ring–a strip of his own skin.
Called ‘Forget Me Knot’, Recht had his skin surgically removed to cover a 24-karat gold ring.
The operation removed 110mm by 10mm of his skin with hair still intact, which was then salted and tanned before the mounting.
Recht is selling his personalized ring at a price of €350,000.
