Photographer Captures Hypnotizing Panoramic Scenes By Pointing His Lens Upwards

On a trip to Paris, Toronto-based Canadian artist and photographer Brent Townshend became fascinated by how the tops of buildings looked against the sky.

Most people seldom look up because “our eyes, our entire design are optimized for living in a flat plane five to six feet off the ground”.

However, with his 'Looking Up' series, the photographer provides a radically different perspective from which to view our surroundings.

Having shot in many locations, Townshend’s images depicts both indoor and outdoor scenes—each picture focuses on what lies above, whether it is a beautiful domed ceiling or a flawless blue sky.
