Renowned artist Leo Villareal has designed the world’s largest light sculpture—to be displayed on San Francisco’s Bay Bridge, it is a stunning art experience that is set to impact 50 million people in the Bay Area.

Consisting 25,000 white, individually programmed LED lights, “The Bay Lights” is inspired by the Bay Bridge’s 75th anniversary and will measure 18 miles wide and 500 feet high.

Programmed to display a dazzling light show from dusk to midnight for two years, this monumental sculpture is set to light up for the first time on 5 March 2013.
