In London, Street Art Gets Spellchecked

Instead of sending out pamphlets or sticking notices to promote its business, London-based tutoring service The Tutor Crowd teamed up with Leo Burnett Group’s Arc decided to correct the grammatical and spelling errors in graffiti works.

Found on its Tumblr, the campaign features the graffiti pieces from Brick Lane, Shoreditch and South Bank with getting corrections in paint pens, and a sticker of logo of The Tutor Crowd.

“To change the traditional perception of English tuition, we needed a non-traditional approach,” Executive Creative Director at Arc, Beri Cheetham, said in a statement. “It’s tongue-in-cheek, free and makes people smile. But most importantly, we hope it helps young people engage in grammar and spelling and get support they need.”
