Japanese Artist Paints Objects To Make Them Look 100-Years-Old

Japanese artist Maico Akiba paints objects to make them look like they’ve decayed from age.

In her ongoing project entitled ‘100 Years Later’, she reimagines everyday items as a 100-years-old—and adds a coat of, what she calls, “aging paint”.

The outcome is a captivating series of still-functional items that appear to be from a lost dystopian, apocalyptic universe.
