For Ocean Pollution Awareness: Used Condoms, Cigarette Butts 'Sold' At Markets

The Surfrider Foundation worked with Saatchi & Saatchi LA to create an awareness campaign that draws attention to how disgusting ocean pollution is.

Titled, 'Catch of the Day', the campaign involved the collection of trash that was actually present on beaches across America.

From condoms to aerosol cans, all the items were packed and sealed like a common freezer food item, and promptly left on display at farmer's markets.

As Saatchi & Saatchi LA mentioned, "Our oceans, and the marine life that swim in those waters, are choking on plastic debris" and other foreign items that we pollute the ocean with. They hope that this ad for the Surfrider Foundation "brings the point home–for dinner."
