Very often, art mimics life.
Ireland-based American artist Clare Conway has done just that with her collection of incredibly realistic porcelain sculptures that are make to look like paper.
Inspired by the relationships in her life, these hard but fragile “papers” documents that have been censored to protect the artist’s privacy.
Other than printed porcelain sheets, the collection also consists of pieces that are masquerading as crushed and shredded paper—there is also a gravity-defying piece of a half-shredded row of paper “floating” in mid-air.
