Wiltshire artist Bruce Munro has transformed a hill into a giant breast to support breast cancer charity Cancerkin.
Munro’s installation consists of blue and pink bottles which are equipped with fiber optics, allowing this “nipple” to be seen for miles.
Cancerkin has also invited people to sponsor and include encouraging messages in each of the 2,730 bottles in the installation, which will hopefully inspire cancer victims to get better.
While the installation was supposed to be a beacon of hope to those afflicted with breast cancer, Munro’s work has been called “insensitive” and “poorly thought out”.
What do you think—is this work of art insensitive in nature, or is it creatively thought out?
