Popular canned food brand 'Spam' is getting a packaging 'makeover' in celebration of its 75th birthday.
Instead of the usual hard-to-open tin, Spam will now be available for purchase in a resealable and reusable plastic container.
Hormel Foods Corp., the company behind Spam, hopes that the brand new packaging will "attract new customers as well tempt back lapsed Spam fans."
The plastic tubs of Spam will be released to the UK market by July 2013. The traditional tinned-Spam will continue to be sold in stores.
