Rhode Island-based artist CW Roelle “draws” with black metal wire instead of with pigments and paper.
At first glance, his illustrations look like detailed two-dimensional drawings, but they are actually three-dimensional wire sculptures.
Roelle’s creations are amazingly intricate—depicting the fine and complex features of grass and trees seems to one of his favorite subjects.
Meticulously bending wires to produce the effect of a line drawing, these artworks are fascinating examples of what creativity and a lot of patience can produce.
