At his latest fashion show during the Autumn/Winter 2013 Paris Fashion Week, London-based designer Hussein Chalayan introduced a line of wonderful transforming dresses that goes from “cocktail” to “black tie” in an instant.
Based on a brilliantly simple concept, quick tugs at the necklines of these dresses release cleverly concealed layers that unfolds over the shorter frocks to become long, elegant and flowing evening ensembles.
The most impressive bit about these creatively executed 2-in-1 dresses is probably the ease and grace with which the transformations take place—there is no need for fumbling with hidden buttons or complicated draping techniques.
