Breath-Taking Photographs Of Clouds' Shadows Taken By Astronauts In Space

Clouds have always been fascinating to look at—that probably explains why people love sharing cloud photos online. But, have you wondered how these clouds look like miles from outer space?

Alexander Gerst, an astronaut on board the International Space Station, takes breath-taking photographs of the world as he works 205 miles from above.

Gerst uses his camera to capture whatever catches his eye, including islands, the Alps, and even the aurora borealis.

A handful of his photographs feature clouds and the long shadow trails that it leaves behind, leaving you in awe of its otherworldly beauty.
